Remote live streaming – Technical brief
For several years now, our remote control center has formed the basis for high-performance, broadcast-quality remote live streaming. We centrally control video, audio, and signal processing from our Berlin headquarters, while the actual video recording takes place at another location.
By using modern IP-based workflows, we transmit video and audio signals in real time and therefore with minimal latency. At the same time, we integrate all relevant sources into our central system. Live direction. This results in an efficient production process that is flexibly scalable and, moreover, delivers the highest quality at the same time.
Remote live streaming – infrastructure, signal routing and workflow expertise
In professional RemoteFor live streaming, we rely on a well-thought-out combination of stable infrastructure and precise signal routing, and on high-performance Control technology. This allows us to realize complex productions regardless of location and to retain full control over all trades.
IP-based signal transmission and routing
First, cameras, audio sources, and other signals directly at the event venue capture the events. We then transmit these signals via dedicated IP connections, Fiber optic cables or 5G-networks into our remote control room. As a result, we take over the central signal routing from there, then bring all sources together and subsequently distribute them specifically to video control, sound control and Streaming encoder. This creates a stable and controlled workflow that functions reliably even in complex productions.
Central live control and multi-camera operation
Within our remote control room, we manage all camera signals in real time. This also allows us to implement a dynamic multi-camera setup.image blending, integrate graphics, overlays and inserts and adapt the signal to the respective platform.
This centralized control significantly reduces the technical effort required on site. Furthermore, we retain full control over visual aesthetics, timing, and dramaturgy – regardless of the production location.
Scalable streaming architecture
Ultimately, all our remote setups are modular and can therefore be flexibly expanded. This allows us to easily handle both smaller productions and large events with high audience numbers.
Additionally, we integrate as needed. Paywall-systems, multi-streaming solutions and individual CDN-structures. This is how we ensure that your live stream runs stably and is simultaneously accessible worldwide.
Efficiency, safety, and fast post-production
Remote live streaming not only reduces travel and transport costs, but also increases the efficiency of your production. Since all data is stored centrally, we start the post production immediately after or even during the event.
Nevertheless, we increase reliability by using redundant systems and stable network connections. This ensures dependable transmission – even under demanding conditions.
