G7 Ministerial Meeting – Media technology, live stream and technical planning

In June 2022, the G7 Ministerial Meeting for Culture and Media under the leadership of Minister of State for Culture Claudia Roth Given the global political situation – especially the war in Ukraine and the ongoing pandemic – the organizers planned the G7 meeting from the outset as hybrid event. This ensured the participation of international delegations also by live stream and connections from all over the world.

Overall technical planning

Together with our partners n-systems and Fournell show technique We supplied the complete conference, video, and livestream technology, including staff, cameras, sound, lighting, and displays. We planned all systems proactively to ensure a stable and smooth operation.

Interpreting technology in five languages – live and hybrid

Implementing multilingual communication was particularly challenging. We installed an interpreting system for five languages – not only in the conference room, but also for all participants connected live. This allowed guests like Ukrainian Culture Minister Oleksandr Tkachenko to participate seamlessly via video conference and be integrated live into the G7 ministerial meeting.

Livestream and media production for global visibility

The ifbbw Institute for Visual Movement was responsible for the entire media production and the livestream. We broadcast Claudia Roth's welcoming address, provided visual support for the conference, and produced the livestream of the closing press conference. This ensured that the content of the G7 Ministerial Meeting was available worldwide and presented professionally.
