Live shopping shows for Samsung

Live shopping or live commerce is an emerging trend in e-commerce that makes shopping more interactive and entertaining for consumers. Products are presented and sold in real time via live streaming videos. This approach combines the convenience of online shopping with the personal interaction and entertainment factor of a live presentation. The live format enables direct contact between seller and buyer. During the live broadcast, viewers can be interactively involved and, for example, ask questions or give feedback. The direct exchange creates a personal shopping experience and strengthens the bond between buyer and brand.

9:16 and 16:9 format produced in parallel – for all social media platforms in parallel

Samsung has discovered this sales format a long time ago and broadcasts live shopping formats throughout the year on special occasions such as Black Week or as part of major consumer trade fairs such as the gamescom. The ifbbw has organized several live shopping shows for Samsung in 2024 on behalf of Saatchi & Saatchi and Leo Burnett We have developed a special production format for the productions that allows us to produce in parallel in the common formats 16:9 and 9:16. And we do this without significantly increasing the personnel costs. Samsung is thus able to broadcast the show on all social media channels at the same time. Whether TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Facebook or its own website. It does not matter whether the respective platform requires a 16:9 image format as a live stream or a 9:16 format. For the Samsung projects, we naturally use the current smartphone flagship models S24 as cameras for the live stream productions.

Live shopping with influencer guests

The live shopping shows are designed to be attractive to viewers and include gaming elements or presentations of exciting new features, such as the AI applications on Samsung's new S24 devices. Influencers are also invited to each show as guests, expanding the Samsung community for the live broadcasts to include the guests' communities. Young target groups in particular can be reached and activated very successfully in this way.
