Conference live streaming for the Z2X Ideas Festival by ZEIT ONLINE

Since 2018, the ifbbw Institute for Visual Movement has supported the Z2X Ideas Festival by ZEIT ONLINE as a technical livestreaming service provider. The annual event is aimed at young adults aged 20 to 29.

The focus is on future social issues, creative ideas and open exchange. For several years, the venue has been the silent green cultural quarter in Berlin. The ifbbw Institute for Visual Movement is responsible for the entire implementation of the conference live streaming – reliable, high-quality and target group-oriented.

Z2X 2024 – Social discourse via livestream

In August 2024, the festival focused on the topics of politics, community, and identity. Shortly before the state elections in Thuringia and Saxony, young voices were given a high-profile platform.

The ifbbw Institute for Image Movement installed a comprehensive live streaming setup on site. This included all camera technology, Directing unit, image blending, encoding and live graphics. The live stream was broadcast free of charge via the Z2X website—stable, high-quality, and barrier-free.

Z2X 2025 – Technical implementation at a high level

In 2025, the ifbbw Institute for Image Movement was again responsible for the conference livestreaming directly from silent green in Berlin. Five cameras were used – two Sony FR7 Remote cameras and three Sony FX6 models.

Our experienced team from Video technicians, Image mixers & Videographers We took over the camera work, image direction and graphic production. We also implemented the projector distribution in the hall and the technical VOD-Preparation. The streamed content was accessible in real time via YouTube and thus immediately available.
