Influencer Livestream at Gamescom 2017 – Election campaign arena with Rocket Beans
The gamescom 2017, the world's largest games fair, offered not only innovations from the gaming scene, but also political debates at eye level – live and directly online. Together with our partners from Rocket Beans TV we realized a top-class influencer live stream, which combined politics and gaming culture.
Politics meets gaming: Influencer livestream at gamescom
The general secretaries and federal executive directors of the five largest parties met for the first time in the election campaign arena, just a few weeks before the federal election. Participating were Dr. Peter Tauber (CDU), Hubertus Heil (SPD), Matthias Höhn (The Left), Michael Kellner (Alliance 90/The Greens), and Nicola Beer (FDP). The discussion was moderated by well-known influencers Colin Gäbel, LeFloid, and PietSmiet, who grilled the politicians in an open roundtable discussion on digital culture, education, business, and games.
The ifbbw Institute for Image Movement supported the Rocket Beans TV crew for this influencer livestream. We not only provided camera equipment and experienced cameramen, but also ensured smooth production communication via Intercom systems as well as a professional Tally radio-System for coordinating the live stream.
Through close collaboration with Rocket Beans TV, a high-quality and authentic live production was created that attracted attention not only at the trade fair but also online. The influencer livestream brought political content to where young target audiences are active—directly into the big new world of social media.
