Livestreaming with Metallica – Live event from five German cities
For an exclusive live streaming-Production with the band Metallica the ifbbw – Institute for Image Movement realized a technically sophisticated Live broadcast: The four band members (from left to right: James Hetfield, Kirk Hammett, Robert Trujillo and Lars Ulrich) were traveling in different cities at the same time - Berlin, Munich, Cologne and Hanover - while the presenter was in a fifth studio in Berlin.
The goal: An interactive interview via livestream, broadcast in real time on Facebook and YouTube – including questions submitted live by viewers.
The entire event was Picture-in-Picture A video stream was implemented and streamed simultaneously on both platforms. The result was a high-quality, location-independent online live production with real added value for both band and audience.
